that works to promote healthy families!

The Samaritan Counseling Center of Southeast Texas (SCC) is looking for committed, energetic members who want to serve on SCC's Board of Directors. It is an excellent chance to be part of shaping the future of families and SCC.

Nominations are open until otherwise announced.

The Board of Directors of SCC is committed to its mission and welcomes applicants from diverse communities.

We are looking for candidates who are:

  • Dedicated to the fact that the SCC exists so that individuals and families with mental health and/or behavioral challenges can participate fully in society
  • Interested in promoting and strengthening families

What is in it for you
Sitting on the Board of Directors will give you a chance to meet and work with people from across the triangle. You will be able to develop skills in new areas and contribute to the mental health field in Southeast Texas.

Are there any costs involved in being a board member

You will be asked to become an individual member of the Samaritan Guild at a minimum of the Donor level, which requires a membership fee of $10.00 a month. (That’s only $120.00 a year).

Time commitment
Meetings for the Full Board are held every other month beginning in January. Persons holding officer positions and/or chairpersons will have an additional meeting on the off months. Meetings last one hour. There may be special meetings called by the Board President, Committee Chairs or at the request of the staff.
