Governor Abbott announced the cancellation of all STAAR assessments and the closure of all schools until May 4th.

The College Board has cancelled the March 28 and May 2 SAT tests, and the ACT has rescheduled the April 4 ACT to June 13.

Reassessment on school closures will be made on April 6th.

FLEXIBLE LEARNING PROGRAM: District leadership and staff launched a flexible education program to keep students engaged and provide instructional support for all students during the school closure. Weekly plans will be posted to www.nederlandisd.org every Friday at 3:00pm. If you do not have access to a device, printed packets can be picked up on Monday and Tuesday between 9:30am–10:30am and 4:30pm–5:30pm. All packets are distributed at Nederland High School.

Assignment Pickup Locations
Pre-Kindergarten - 5th Grade: Pickup location- Elementary Cafeteria- Assignments will be picked up at the eastside entrance near the teacher parking and student drop-off and pickup area.
6th Grade - 8th Grade: Pickup location- Junior High Southside Entrance/Exit-Assignments will be picked up at the southside entrance on the football stadium side.
9th Grade - 12th Grade: Pickup location- High School Cafeteria- Assignments will be picked up on the northside of the campus at the back of the school by the cafeteria. You will need to enter from the museum/new gym side and drive behind the school to access the assignment pickup location. You will exit from the same entrance location. (You will not be able to exit out through the field house parking lot.)

Child Nutrition Meal Service Our district will not serve meals on Good Friday, April 10, 2020.

High School Athletic and Junior High and High School Band Equipment Pickup On Friday, April 3, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m., parents and students may come to the pickup locations listed below for their band instruments or athletic equipment.

Meal Distribution Plan for SPISD
UPDATED FRIDAY MARCH 27th: Sabine Pass ISD will be distributing meals to students as part of our Flexible Education Program. We will have two distribution sites for grab-and-go pick-up of breakfast and lunch:
- Bus pick-up/drop-off located under the Intercoastal Canal Bridge
- Bus pick-up/drop-off located on the West side of the Main Building

Time for pick-up will be as follows: 9AM-11AM - Monday AND Thursday
- On Monday 3 days worth of meals will be distributed
- On Thursday 2 days worth of meals will be distributed

Be A Champion will also be distributing food for students at these times and locations. The menu at this time is:
- Breakfast - Pop Tart, fruit, and milk
- Lunch - Sandwich, fruit, carrots, milk
*The menu is subject to change based on availability.

We will officially begin the Flexible Education Program at Vidor ISD on Wednesday, March 25. Assignments will be posted for students to begin work daily at home. The website for those assignments is listed above on the scroller. Look for FEP20 and click the link. Each grade level and subject has a folder that will lead students to their assignments. Check back regularly as the site will continue to be updated with more courses and helpful links.

For those that cannot access the technology resources there will be paper packets to pick up on campuses at the following times:
• Vidor High School-Wednesday 8:00 to 10:00 and 12:00 to 2:00
• AIM Center-Wednesday 10:00 to noon
• Vidor Junior High School and both Middle School locations-Wednesday 9:00-12:00
• Vidor Elementary and Pine Forest Elementary-4:00 to 7:00 Wednesday and Thursday
• Oak Forest Elementary-Wednesday and Thursday 2:30 to 5:30

Breakfast and lunch will be served at Pine Forest Elementary and Vidor Elementary daily for all children through 18 years old. Children must be present. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 9:00 and lunch will be served from 11:30 to 1:30.

Enlight of the national disaster, West Orange-Cove CISD Child Nutrition Services will be providing meals to Children 18 years of age and under regardless of income and enrollment in the district. Meal service will be a grab and go drive through at North Early Learning Center and West Orange-Stark High School from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM . Both Breakfast/Lunch will be given for that day during that time.Children must be present to receive a meal, you can not receive a meal for a child that is not present.
